PURPOSE: A portable hard disk drive is provided to enable a connector of a hard disk to emerge through an entrance of a cover which opens and closes in connection with a body such that the entrance can slide down the body, thereby realizing an easy portability. CONSTITUTION: A body(10) is divided into divided bodies(10a,10b). A cover(12) is divided into divided bodies(12a,12b). The divided bodies(10a,10b)(12a,12b) are coupled together. Rails(11) are located on front side walls of the body(10) in length direction. Projections(13) are inserted into the rails(11) on inner side walls of the cover(12), and slide down the rails(11), to open/shut the cover(12) as preventing the cover(12) from being separated from the body(10). The cover(12) has an entrance(20) through which a connector pierces. When the cover(12) is open, the connector is protruded through the entrance(20). If the cover(12) is shut, the connector caves in through the entrance(20).
