PURPOSE: An information recording medium and a label for the information recording medium are provided to partially combine a CD-R body with a label by inserting a convex portion of the CD-R body and a circular hole and an ellipse hole of the label, thereby stably reading data even though an information recording medium label is attached. CONSTITUTION: A CD-R(1) consists of a CD-R body(10) and a label(20). The label(20) is attached to a side opposite to a data recording/reading side of the CD-R body(10). The CD-R body(10) is composed of a transparent resin substrate having a guide groove, a pigment recording layer for covering the guide groove, a metal reflective layer formed on the pigment recording layer, and a top coat layer consisting of a UV resin formed on the metal reflective layer. The pigment recording layer and the metal reflective layer form an information recording layer where information is recorded and read.
