PURPOSE: An image sensor is provided to be capable of simplifying manufacturing processes and improving light shielding effect by using TiN as a light shielding layer. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(210) is provided with an optical sensing part and a peripheral region. A passivation layer(321) is formed on the substrate. A color filter(325) is formed on the passivation layer(321) corresponding to the optical sensing part. A light shielding layer(322) is covered to the peripheral region spaced apart from the color filter(325). At this time, titanium nitride(TiN) is used as the light shielding layer(322). Also, the thickness of the light shielding layer(322) made of TiN is 300-3000Å.
