PURPOSE: A configuration of a DSP transceiver of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to configure an analog processing portion of an RF transceiver by using a DSP element, thereby reducing size and increasing an upgrading speed. CONSTITUTION: A processor(110) processes baseband signals into digital signals. A DSP(120) performs noise removing, IF modulating, and automatic digital gain controlling processes for the digital signals, and carries out an IF demodulation process. The first IF digital SAW filter(130) passes IF digital signals only. An RF transmitter(140) up-modulates the signals of the SAW filter(130), and amplifies the modulated signals by removing noise signals. A duplexer(150) applies the amplified signals to an antenna, and applies signals of the antenna to other path. An RF receiver(160) amplifies the signals of the duplexer(150), and converts the signals into IF signals. The second IF digital SAW filter(135) intercepts noise signals, and passes IF digital signals only.
