The arms D are rotated by nuts F on screws G rotated by bevel pinions G<SP>1</SP> and a double bevel gear H, the latter being rotated by a key fitted in a shaft I carrying a pinion J, or are rotated by a multi-lobed cam controlled by the gear H and engaged by rollers on the ends of the arms. The jaws may have spirallyformed faces and are fitted on the conical polygonal ends of the pivots. |
