FIELD: production of an abrasive material on the basis of corundum. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with production of an abrasive material on the basis of corundum. The method of production of an abrasive material provides for production of a melt, which is fed onto a rotating roller-crystallizer, where a partial cooling of the melt takes place. Further, the partially crystallized melt is squeezed between the roller-crystallizer and the second roller. The squeezing is conducted with a relative deformation equal to 10-45 % at a speed of the rotating roller-crystallizer V1-(1.15-4.20) V2, where V2 - is the speed of the second roller. After the band exits from the deformation zone the second roller cools the band at an angle alpha =70 - 80 . At that the surface opposite to the surface of contact of the band with the rotating roller-crystallizer is cooled. Then the band is fed onto the cooled conveyer. The method allows to produce more homogeneous structure of a band of an abrasive material in height and to rectify internal defects in the form of cavities and large pores. ^ EFFECT: the invention allows to produce more homogeneous structure of a band of an abrasive material in height and to rectify internal defects in the form of cavities and large pores. ^ 1 cl, 1 tbl, 1 dwg |
