FIELD: devices and methods of quenching of products of pyrolysis. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with a device for quenching of a stream of a hot gas and with a method of quenching of pyrolized products from a furnace of pyrolysis. The device contains: a quenching pipe for a hot gas delivery from a source located upstream to a downstream place; a located inside the quenching pipe mean for restriction of the stream of the hot gas and used to form a low-pressure zone in the stream of the hot gas directly downstream after the mean for restriction of the stream; a nozzle located downstream after the mean for restriction of the stream. At that the nozzle crosses the quenching pipe tangentially and at an angle to it. At that the nozzle is adapted to inject the quenching liquid tangentially into a stream of a hot gas under pressure sufficient to let the quenching liquid move on peripheral around the inside surface of the quenching pipe, to fill in the low-pressure zone of the stream of a hot gas and to make contact to a surface downstream after the mean for restriction of stream and an interface on a surface downstream after the mean for restriction of the stream to form a distinct interface between the stream of a hot gas and the quenching liquid.
