FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method of fuel supply in free-piston two-stroke engine includes spraying of fuel in linear between pistons moving towards each other. Spraying is effected along lines forming polygon, particularly, tetragon, in cross central section of liner. Free-piston two-stroke engine has liner made of heat-insulating material with two freely moving pistons and fuel-feed and scavenging devices made for control of spraying lines.
