PURPOSE: A belt tension device is provided to easily install the small belt tension device compatible with a belt driving apparatus having a variable driving pulley or with a belt apparatus having a static driving pulley in the small space. CONSTITUTION: A belt tension device for a belt driving apparatus is composed of two or more belt pulleys(12,13,14), and a variable belt(11). A torsion spring assembly(20) has a longitudinal axis(A2), and a torsion bar or a torsion tube. The torsion spring assembly is clamped in the rack and axially rotated at high speed. An arm(19) is arranged in the torsion spring assembly, and fixed radially to the longitudinal axis. The torsion spring assembly is composed of a tension roller(15) rotated and arranged in the end of the tension arm. A rotating axis(A1) of the tension roller is extended in parallel with the longitudinal axis of the torsion spring assembly, and the tension arm is reciprocated around the longitudinal axis and elastically supported in the rack.
