PURPOSE: A storm overflow chamber is provided to prevent the defects by eliminating a driving portion, to automatically and exactly control an outflow flux according to a hydraulic characteristic curve of a vortex valve and to prevent the discharge of oil and floating matters in combined sewer overflows into a river. CONSTITUTION: An advanced storm overflow chamber comprises a housing(H), an inflow pipe(I) inflowing rain water and dirty water in the housing, an outflow pipe(O) and a discharging pipe(D) discharging the rain water and the dirty water in the housing, and a weir(W) installed in the housing. A vortex valve(V) is installed in an inlet of the outflow pipe. An oil baffle(B) is installed in the upper part of the housing. Thereby, the defects are prevented by eliminating a driving portion, a discharged flux is controlled exactly according to a hydraulic characteristic curve of the vortex valve and the outflow of oil and floating matters inside combined sewer outflows into a river is prevented.
