DEFROSTING UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A defrosting unit for an air conditioner is provided to carry out the defrosting of an outdoor heat exchanger during defrosting-heating operation by gas phase refrigerant of high temperature instead of employing any additional heater. CONSTITUTION: A defrosting unit for an air conditioner includes a defrosting heat exchange element(70) provided to an outdoor heat exchanger. The defrosting heat exchange element has an end connected to a gas phase refrigerant tube of high pressure and the other end connected to a liquid phase refrigerant tube of high pressure. The defrosting heat exchanger includes a defrosting heat exchanger(71), and first and second guide tubes(72,73). The defrosting heat exchanger is provided in the proximity of the outdoor heat exchanger. The first guide tube connects an inlet end of the defrosting heat exchanger to the gas phase refrigerant tube of high pressure to guide the gas phase refrigerant of high temperature to the defrosting heat exchanger. The second one connects an outlet of the defrosting heat exchanger to the liquid phase refrigerant tube of high pressure to guide the heat exchanged liquid phase refrigerant to the liquid phase refrigerant tube of high pressure.
