The procedure involves transmitting an information written by a description language of a content, at a peripheral (3) e.g. printer, by an interface network (10). The information is interpreted by a logic circuit (4) and accommodated in the peripheral. The interpreted information is translated into commands of the peripheral by a driver (5) that is accommodated within the peripheral. An Independent claim is also included for a data processing system.
