The tailboard has a primary part (14) moving with respect to a secondary part (16) between a rest position above the part (16) and a retracted position in the part (16). A mobile body (22) with respect to the part (16) is placed between many positions of which one position is opened. The primary part is retractable in the secondary part in the opened position of the body. An Independent claim is also included for a vehicle with a tailboard.
