The method involves passing a light beam through a slit and an intensity of the beam is detected after crossing the slit to produce a base optical signal (21). The luminous beam is passed through another slit and intensity of the beam is detected after crossing the latter slit to produce a corrective optical signal (22). The obtained two signals are subtracted to obtain a noise reduced optical signal. An Independent claim is also included for a device for obtaining a noise reduced optical signal.
