PURPOSE: A system for operating an airbag of a vehicle is provided to prevent a passenger from being injured due to the rapid expansion of an airbag by adjusting the expansion of the airbag depending on the traveling speed of a vehicle and the figure of the passenger. CONSTITUTION: A system for operating an airbag of a vehicle comprises a weight sensor(10) installed in a seat of a vehicle and measuring the weight of a passenger and outputting a corresponding signal, a size sensor(20) installed in a backrest of the seat and measuring the sizes of the passenger and outputting corresponding signals, a speed sensor(30) measuring the traveling speed of a vehicle and outputting a corresponding signal, an ACU(Airbag Control Unit)(40) outputting an airbag motion control signal depending on the sizes of the passenger and the speed signal outputted from the speed sensor, and a valve injecting air to an airbag depending on the control signal outputted from the ACU. |
