PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile loading section for a tray-type mechanical parking station which obtains an automobile loading method that facilitates the loading of an automobile and simplifies the structure of a lift, to thereby cut costs of the entire loading section. SOLUTION: The automobile loading section is formed of a conveyor device 16 and a tray transfer device 23. The conveyor device 16 is set between a predetermined stopping location at which the automobile to be loaded is stopped, and a contiguous location that is contiguous to a standby location of a lift 9. The tray transfer device 23 moves a tray 8 between a tray drawing section 22 arranged below the conveyor device 16 and the lift 9 at the standby location. The automobile loading section simultaneously carries out the operation of loading the automobile on the tray 8 and the operation of moving the automobile to the lift 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
