PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laser scanning optical device capable of restraining a change in position (posture) of an optical device such as a collimator lens or a laser diode caused by welding. SOLUTION: In the laser scanning optical device, a holder 15 holding the collimator lens 10 is welded and fixed on a base plate 20. The holder 15 is constituted of a 1st plane part 15a holding the lens 10 on a plane perpendicular to an optical axis Z, and 2nd plane parts 15b, 15c and 15d perpendicular to the plane part 15a. The respective welding spots (a) of the 2nd plane parts 15b, 15c and 15d are positioned at a front stage part (beam incident side) and a rear stage part (beam emitting side) in the direction of the optical axis Z while putting the plane part 15a in between.
