The telephone, e.g. a battery-operated mobile telephone, has a device for analysis of the signals received via an established telephone connection, for differentiating between speech signals and music signals, an acoustic reproduction device for the received signals and a device for suppression of the acoustic reproduction when music signals are identified. The suppressed music signals may be replaced by alternative acoustic signals. |
