A method of oxidizing carbon-carbon double bonds in which the conversion of a compound having a carbon-carbon double bond is inhibited and the compound remaining unreacted is separated from the reaction product and then used again in the oxidation reaction; and a process for producing an oxidized compound by the oxidation method. Thus, a target oxidized compound can be obtained with high selectivity and high productivity.
