<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for managing contents capable of acquiring and reproducing the contents purchased by a user at time and a place desired by the user. <P>SOLUTION: This content management server 3 is provided with a contents DB 36 for storing purchase identification and content data by every content ID, a user DB 34 for storing the purchase identification of the contents purchased by the user, a writing means for receiving the purchase identification of the contents purchased by the user from a terminal 2 and for writing it in the user DB 34, a conversion means 35 for unidirectionally converting the received purchase identification to the content ID, and a distribution means 38 for receiving the request of distribution of the contents from a content reproducing device 4 and for distributing the content data to be identified by the content ID converted by the conversion means 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
