<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium for a colored resin fine particle containing ink, which maintains advantages of an aqueous ink containing colored resin fine particles, having high fastness and excellent color reproducibility, and is furthermore excellent in ink fixing properties and ink absorbency as well as excellent in performance such as lustrous properties or the like, and to provide an ink jet image recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording medium for a colored resin fine particle containing ink has, on a support, at least one layer of an ink absorbing layer. The colored resin fine particle containing ink is an aqueous ink, in which the colored resin fine particles comprising a pigment containing polymer are dispersed.
