<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clipping detection apparatus of foreign matter which reduces the arithmetic load for clipping detection, while accurately deciding whether clipping of the foreign matter occurs, by surely removing fluctuation of the load of vibration or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A rotational speed detection sensor 23 detects the rotational speed of a motor 6, a detected signal SP of the rotational speed is input to a computer 21. A load-deciding rotational period is obtained in the computer 21 from its detected signal SP. The computer 21 decides whether the rotational speed has changed by a load equivalent to the load due to foreign matter clipping, based on the load-deciding rotational period, to count the number of continued times of this decision. When the computer 21 decides the load equivalent to be a condition of foreign matter clipping applied to opening/closing members, and further when this decision is made continuously a prescribed number of times, it is decided to be clipping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
