<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel glycosyltransferase, β1,6-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a β1,6-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase having the following enzymatic characteristics: an action for transferring N-acetylglucosamine from UDP-N-acetylglucosamine to α-6-D-mannoside; and a molecular weight of about 73,000 (determined by SDS-PAGE in the absence of a reducing agent) as well as about 73,000 and about 60,000 (determined by SDS-PAGE in the presence of a reducing agent). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
