<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device capable of effectively increasing the designability of a license plate part and also improving the sense of unity of the license plate part with a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This illuminating device comprises a light source, a light lead-in plate disposed on the front side of the license plate, leading the light of the light source therein, and radiating the led-in light to the license plate side, and a decorative cover installed to cover the outer edge part of the light lead-in plate. A cutout is formed at the outer edge part of the light lead-in plate so that the decorative surface of the decorative cover is flush with the decorative surface of the light lead-in plate at least in the boundary area of both of these surfaces when the decorative cover is installed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
