<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can prevent a recording form from wrinkling in stripes owing to a position shift even if a fixing belt and a pressure conveyor belt relatively shift in position during fixing operation. <P>SOLUTION: The coefficientμ1 of static friction between the pressure conveyor belt 4 and recording form P and the coefficientμ2 of static friction between the fixing belt 2 and recording form P are set so thatμ1 is smaller thanμ2.
