PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male connector wherein a housing side engagement part is protected. SOLUTION: A cap 3 to encircle a tab 5 projecting from the front surface of a connector housing 1 is mounted to the same surface. The housing side engagement parts 10 are provided on the right and left sides of the connector housing 1 and nail pieces 11C are provided on the opposite surface of the cap.
