PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear of an outboard motor that has a simple constitution and the reduced number of components, prevents weight increase of the gear, improves steering feeling by reducing connection parts, and prevents space loss of a hull. SOLUTION: A returning cylinder 40 and a hydraulic supplying means (a hydraulic pump 62, a hydraulic circuit 64, and an electric motor 66) for supplying oil pressure to it are built in a swivel case 12 for storing a swivel shaft 50 as a turning shaft of the outboard motor 10. A driving end 40a of the returning cylinder 40 is connected to a mount frame 52 fixed to the swivel shaft 50 via a stay 72. The swivel case 12 and the mount frame 52 are displaced at a relative angle by telescoping the returning cylinder 40, and the swivel shaft 50 is turned. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
