PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor and a magnetic recording device, wherein the output is enhanced, without changing the RA almost at all. SOLUTION: A free layer 1 constitutes a magnetic sensitive film of a single spin valve structure for a magnetic sensor of a structure, in which a current is made to flow in a direction including at least a vertical components on a magnetic sensitive film surface, and a metal electronic reflection layer 8 is provided outside the free layer 1, and a non-insulated electronic reflection layer 5 is provided, inside a pinned layer 3.
