PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To logically and rationally obtain a conclusion of an argument by logically developing the argument and numerically evaluating the reliability of an opinion in an electronic conference system. SOLUTION: In the electronic conference system, basis and reasons of an opinion are necessarily inputted when the opinion being statement information is inputted. While questions and answers are performed, the basis and reasons of the opinion, the basis and reasons thereof and each basis and each reason are successively searched, the basis and reasons are developed to the bottom of an argument where the basis and reasons cannot further be developed. Numerical evaluations of the basis and reasons of the bottom for proving the opinion are computed all the way back to argumentation structure by using a formula based on a logical relation of reliability among the opinion, ground and reasons. Thus, the electronic conference system is obtained, in which the degree of reliability of an opinion is computed and the relative general evaluation of the reliability of opposing opinions is performed logically and quantitatively.
