PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of obtaining a color image of light emitted from micro-plasma generated by friction. SOLUTION: A friction micro-plasma planar image color photograph imaging device 1 is composed of: a vacuum chamber 2; an exhaust system 3 for exhausting air from the inside of the vacuum chamber 2; a friction plasma generation mechanism 4 for generating plasma by friction in the vacuum chamber 2; a transparent view port 5 for transmitting the light emitted from the plasma outside the vacuum system; an optical lens system 8 for converging the light 6 having passed the view port 5 and for expanding the plasma image to form the image on a cooled CCD camera 7; and a personal computer 9 for processing an optical signal of the plasma image detected by the cooled CCD camera 7 to obtain the plasma image.
