PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer for an anchor causing little eccentricity when inserted in a drilled hole by maintaining the uniform radial arrangement of space holding pieces to the outer diameter change of the anchor such as a lock bolt. SOLUTION: This spacer 3 for the anchor comprises four space holding pieces 31c, 31d, etc., and an approximately cylindrical grip part 11 and a cylindrical part 32 provided on both sides. The cylindrical part 32 is placed in a loosely fitted state to the anchor and longitudinally displaced by the diameter reduced deformation of the respective space holding pieces 31c, 31d, etc. when inserted. The parts which intersect the grip part 11, of two space holding pieces 31d (31a) close to an opening side end part 13 of the grip part 11 fitted to the anchor are respectively located inward in the circumferential direction of the grip part 11 in relation to the same parts of the space holding pieces 31c (31b) placed in the opposed relation with the axis of the grip part 11 held in between.
