PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a compound useful for various applications, enabling curing by heating or irradiation of active energy beam and capable of providing a cured product having good water resistance and heat resistance and to provide a compound obtained by the production method and a composition containing the compound. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing the compound by reacting a compound having an amide group with a compound having a vinyl ether group, preferably wherein at least either one of the compound having the amide group and the compound having the vinyl ether group has a (meth)acryloyl group.
