PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent for a sheet, having excellent detergency, and enabling the cleaned sheet to be dried in a short time to make the sheet usable; and to provide a method for cleaning the sheet. SOLUTION: The detergent for the sheet is formed into a liquid detergent having≥30 and≤70 mN/m surface tension in use, and the resultant liquid detergent is foamed. The foamed liquid detergent is attached to the surface to be cleaned of the sheet, and the resultant surface is brushed. The obtained dirty water is sucked and removed by a vacuumer.
