PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing chondrosine, by which the chondrosine can simply and efficiently be produced from a chondroitin raw material in a high purity in a large amount and at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the chondrosine is characterized by hydrolyzing the chondroitin raw material and then subjecting the product to an electrodialysis. The chondroitin raw material is preferably selected from chondroitin, chondroitin sulfate, and a material having a chondroitin basic skeleton. The hydrolysis is an acid hydrolysis or an enzymatic hydrolysis. The electrodialysis is carried out using a membrane having a molecular weight cut off of 200 to 400. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
