PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the development of other color around objective color even when two-color thermosensible paper is used as a recording paper. SOLUTION: A variable electric potential region H is a region on a heating resistor 5 located between a discrete electrode 4 and adjoining projections 3c located on both sides of the discrete electrode 4. The region H generates heat by the difference of the electric potential caused between a common electrode 3 and the discrete electrode 4. Preferably, the width W of the variable electric potential region H for forming one dot is set to the extent that temperature of the whole region becomes substantially uniform. A constant electric potential region C is a region on the heating resistor 5, in which the electric potential is kept constant even when the difference of electric potential is caused between the common electrode 3 and the discrete electrode 4. The constant electric potential region C is formed at the positions, between which at least one variable electric potential region is located. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
