A pond rake (20) includes an elongated handle (22) and a head (30) disposed adjacent one end of the handle (22) and having plural tines (34) extending therefrom. Means for enhancing downward force (50) on the rake head as it travels through the water is provided in one preferred embodiment by a rotatable member (54) that is actuated by the user by pulling on a rope (58) that extends to shore. The rotatable member (54) is generally aligned with a planar member (52) to increase the distance the rake will travel from shore, and is then rotated to a second position that imparts the downward force on the rake head. |
