摘要 The method of measuring time in an electronic device uses an analyzer for calculating the length of a time interval using the number of oscillations of an oscillator during the time interval to be determined. The oscillator operates at a first frequency stability stage. A clock generator is also provided in the electronic device and this operates at a second frequency stability stage which is more accurate than the first. At one or more points in time, a comparison of the frequency of the oscillator and the clock generator is carried out. A correction parameter is derived based on the comparison results and the length of the time interval, corrected by the correction parameter, is calculated. Independent claims also cover an electronic device operating according to this method.
