T-cell mediated delayed type hypersensitivity conditions in mammalian patients are alleviated by a process in which an aliquot of blood is withdrawn from the patient, treated extracorporeally with a combination of UV radiation and an oxidative environment, such as an oxygen/ozone gas mixture bubbled through the aliquot, and then re-injected into the patient.
