<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic which maintains a high dielectric constant ε and a high Q factor, has excellent linearity in temperature characteristics, and minimizes the rate of change in dielectric constant ε with temperature, even without containing Pb. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic composition contains a primary constituent represented by a general formula, a[(Sr<SB>b</SB>Ca<SB>1-b</SB>)TiO<SB>3</SB>]-(1-a)[Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-nTiO<SB>2</SB>] (wherein, (a) and (b) indicate molar ratio and (n) indicates molar ratio of TiO2 to Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>) and a secondary constituent represented by a general formula, xMgTiO<SB>3</SB>+yMnOm+zLn<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>(wherein, (m) is 1-2 and Ln is La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho or Er) and the component composition is controlled to have 0.88≤a ≤0.92, 0.30≤b≤0.50, 1.8≤n≤3.0, 1.0≤x≤3.0, 0.1≤y≤2.0 and 0<z≤3.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
