<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt wearing promoting device which increases the degree of the awareness of the wearing of a seat belt to increase the wearing ratio of the seat belt by changing stepwise the contents of warning for wearing the seat belt displayed on a screen. <P>SOLUTION: The unworn or worn state of the seat belt 11 is detected by a seat belt wearing detection means 20, a vehicle speed is detected by a vehicle speed detection means 21, and when the seat belt 11 is not worn while an ignition switch 7 is turned on, the contents of warning for wearing the seat belt are displayed on the screen 6a of an operation supporting information display means 6 by a controller 22. The contents of the warning are changed so that a warning level is increased stepwise according to the vehicle speed for an occupant to strongly recognize the wearing of the seat belt 11 by the varying contents of the warning.
