<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical sealing device of a vertical bag-making and filling machine capable of easily performing a folding-in of mated seals acting as a vertical seal. <P>SOLUTION: This vertical seal device of a vertical bag-making and filling machine comprises a pair of heater blocks 11a, 11b for use in heat sealing both side edges overlapped in mated state of a cylindrical packaging material to form a mated seal.
