PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the characteristics of a plasma display panel by optimizing aging conditions during the process of aging the panel. SOLUTION: When the aging process is carried out by applying a predetermined voltage to the plasma display panel after the panel has been produced, first aging 11 is performed, after which the characteristics of the panel are measured and second aging 13 is performed.
