摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of torque transmitted to an output shaft 37a during the stop of a vehicle as starting performance is secured through structure that, with an input shaft 1 rotated in one way, an output shaft 37a is rotatable in the normal and reverse direction with a standstill held inbetween, and to reduce fatigue of a driver and a consumption amount of fuel. SOLUTION: A signal to indicate a state to operate a brake pedal and a parking brake is inputted to a controller 64b from a brake switch 77. The controller 64b reduces a target value of torque passing a toroidal type continuously variable transmission 24 when a vehicle is brought into a stop or runs at a very low speed, and when a brake pedal is stepped or a parking brake is operated.
