PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding manufacturing method capable of preventing the occurrence of a scratch or the like on the surface of the terminal cover part of a molding, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A long linear molding material 15 for the molding is set to a fixed mold 52 in such a state that the terminal part 17 thereof is protruded from one side of a fixed mold 52. When a movable mold 80 is allowed to advance to close a mold in such a state the terminal part 17 and an extension part 18 of the molding material 15 are heated to be softened, the leading end part in the advance direction of the movable mold 80 is brought into contact with the terminal part 17 and the extension part 18. A terminal bending processed part 19 is formed by closing the movable mold 80 while bending the terminal part 17 and extension part 18 of the molding material 15 for the molding toward a back surface side in such a state that the moving locus formed by the contact part of the movable mold 80 with the terminal part 17 and the extension part 18 is positioned outside the arcuate region centering around the vicinity of the corner part of the terminal cover part 11. Thereafter, the cutting blade provided to the movable mold 80 is advanced toward the terminal bending processed part 19 to cut off the excess part 19a of the terminal bending processed part 19.
