PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable information processor for automatically restoring all pieces of firmware even if disorder occurs in one or a plurality of pieces of firmware in an information processor in which the plurality of pieces of firmware exist. SOLUTION: The information processor comprising two modules 1 and 2 functions as follows; when monitors 106 and 113 for at least one module detect a fault in used firmware 103 and 110, the monitor having detected the disorder informs a system monitor 115 that the fault has been detected; the system monitor 115 requests the monitors 106 and 113 for all of n modules to rewrite the firmware; before the information processor is restarted, all of the n modules are synchronously switched from the used firmware 103 and 110 to firmware 105 and 112 for restoration; and the information processor is normally restarted.
