ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICE PUT IN PACKAGING CASE, PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE, AND PACKAGING CASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display images of high quality independently of peripheral temperature environments on an electro-optical device put in a packaging case. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device put in a packaging case is provided with an electro-optical device (500) on which projection light is made incident and a packaging case (601) which comprises a plate (610) arranged so as to face one surface of the electro-optical device and a cover (620) which covers the electro-optical device and has a portion brought into contact with the plate, and causes at least a part of the electro-optical device to be held by at least one of the plate and the cover to store the electro-optical device therein. A a projecting part is formed on at least a part of the part brought into contact with the plate, and cover part fixing holes (612a and 612b) which can be fitted to the projection part are formed in the plate.
