PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable inexpensive lead-acid battery by obtaining compatibility of rigidity, shock resistance and moldability of a battery jar for the lead-acid battery. SOLUTION: In this battery jar for the lead-acid battery made of a propylene-ethylene copolymer, a melt flow rate (MFR) of the propylene-ethylene copolymer is 15g / 10 minutes or more, and the amount of an isotactic polypropylene occupied in a polypropylene phase of the propylene-ethylene copolymer is more than 94 mass %.
