PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furnace top structure for a waste melting furnace capable of achieving compactness of the waste melting furnace, and enabling the level of waste to be precisely and stably measured by setting installation height of a waste charging device low. SOLUTION: In this furnace top structure for a waste melting furnace, a microwave type level measuring device 8 for measuring charged height in the waste melting furnace is installed at such a position as to measure the furnace inside from diagonally above beyond a range right above the waste melting furnace.
