PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation member for a paper cup, which can be readily mounted on a cup storing a hot content, as a heat insulation member for a cup, can be held by hand, has high advertisement effects and can be produced at low costs. SOLUTION: The heat insulation member for a cup is a cylindrical insulation member having an inverted truncated cone shape, which is made of paper and is mounted on the drum part of a cup having an inverted truncated cone shape, and is provided with a pair of holding parts which project like vertical lines on opposite sides. One holding part is formed by bonding opposite edge parts of a single blank together which is punched like a fan-shape, and the other holding part is formed by bending and bonding the center of the blank. A printing image display part comprising characters, graphics, marks, patterns or the like, which advertises products unrelated to the content in the cup, to which a heat insulation member is mounted, is formed on the heat insulation member for a cup.
