PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling structure of an outer mirror capable of securing light irradiating amount to a mirror plane of a mirror coated with photocatalyst even during storing, at night, or the like, and suitably exhibiting a photocatalyst action without disposing an ultraviolet irradiation means in a mirror housing. SOLUTION: This antifouling structure of the outer mirror 1 comprises a mirror base 4 projected from the side surface of a car body 6 of an automobile toward its side part, a mirror housing 3 that has a mirror 2 having a mirror plane coated with a photocatalyst film and is turnably suspended by the mirror base 4. The mirror base 4 has a light transmitting means (hole section) 5 for passing ambient light. The ambient light having passed through the light transmitting means 5 is irradiated to the mirror plane of the mirror 2 in a stored state of the mirror housing 3, thereby suitably exhibiting the photocatalyst action.
